Teana Baker-Taylor is the Chief Executive Officer of BasedAI, where she drives the company's strategic vision, product development, and commercial success — leading an executive team with deep experience across AI, financial services, digital assets, and enterprise technology to turn complex AI and agent capabilities into profitable, scalable products.

Previously, Teana co-founded and served as Chief Operating Officer of Venice.ai, a private, censorship-resistant generative AI platform for text, video, image, music, and code generation and AI character interaction, offering access to leading open-source and frontier models within a privacy-preserving architecture.

Prior to Venice, Teana was Vice President of Policy and Regulatory Strategy, EMEA at Circle — the principal developer of USDC (the second-largest stablecoin by market cap) and EURC — where she led regional government affairs and regulatory strategy. Before Circle, she was Chief Policy Officer for the Chamber of Digital Commerce, the world's largest digital-asset and blockchain trade association, working directly with Capitol Hill legislators and financial-market regulators.

Teana has held leadership roles at Crypto.com and Binance, where she was responsible for UK and European operations, go-to-market strategy, and government and regulatory affairs, alongside senior strategy and communications roles at Coinfloor, HSBC, Citi, Fiserv, the Royal Bank of Scotland, and Hilton Hotels. She is a Board Advisor to CryptoUK, the trade body representing the UK's blockchain, digital-asset, and crypto market participants.

Teana has been recognized as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in AI & Crypto by CoinDesk and the 20 Most Influential Women in Crypto by Financial News, and has appeared three times on the Innovate Finance Women in FinTech Powerlist of the most influential women in fintech globally.
